hay i have that same problem i tried downloading the old messenger it works but when i unistalled it and tried new msn it turns i was missing a file called msn msi.msr search on google and you should find it if it doesnt work then guess try wiping the computer and starting from scratch if that doesnt work you can always just use old msn or most likely do what i did get a new computer
